We’re women involved in agriculture across the Lone Star State who volunteer our time to share information about food and farming.
CommonGround Texas women are some of the more than 250 women farmers across the country who make up CommonGround. We’re just like other women all over the world. We work hard to nurture our families, our crops, our animals, our careers and ourselves. As we’ve grown, we’ve discovered something valuable about being women: We need each other.
CommonGround Texas volunteers raise a variety of conventional and organic crops, livestock and produce. Our conversations are guided by our personal experiences, as well as science and research, to help consumers like you sort through the myths and misinformation surrounding food and farming
Our Guiding Principles
We’re informative, not opinionated:
At CommonGround we feel it’s important to be inclusive of all types of farming, and we recognize how fortunate we are in the abundance of food options that we have.
No matter what food choices you make for your family, know we’re here to simply be a resource.

You have nothing to fear here
We strive to be positive and provide opportunities for open dialogue about how food is grown and raised on farms in Texas and across the United States.
We look forward to connecting with you and sharing our passion for agriculture.
Real, straight from the source
Farmers work hard to produce safe, nutritious, and affordable food for your family.
We’re here to share our own farming experiences and personal stories, and provide credible, third-party resources for additional information.

We’re farmer funded.
CommonGround Texas is coordinated and supported by Texas Corn Producers, the state’s checkoff program. CommonGround was developed by farmers through two national commodity organizations, the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) and the United Soybean Board (USB).
